Makeup and more for the 40 and fabulous

DIY Makeup

Chocolate Eyez

I used the Manly 120 palette to get this look. I used 4 eyecolors. I had fun with this look I hope you enjoy it too!

Quick Makeup Tip: Never use tape to get a clean line on the eyeshadow. It pulls the skin and increases chances for crows feet.

Pinup Makeup

Here is the look I created for a contest. I did the look because, I’ve got a passion for pinups. I submitted it and thought you guys wanted to know how I got the look. Make up colors are important when doing this look. Choices were limited, remember Betty Paige never wore blue eyeshadow.

Quick Makeup Tip: Always use false eyelashes for a 50′s retro and draw in thick full eyebrows.

Beginner’s Look~ Violet Eyez

This is a beginner’s look using two eyeshadow colors. It’s also great to use when in a hurry and time is short. It works with any colors.

Quick Tip: For natural looking eyebrows, use short feathery strokes in the direction hair grows.

SouthPole Pink

I just pulled this look out the sky. I had to tweek it to make it work. What was the tweak? Adding violet to bring out the pink. Who knew?? Hope you enjoy and comment with questions.

Quick Tip; adding white into the inner corners of the eyes make eyes brighter and appear less tired and wide open

Orange You Glad It’s Summer

One of my fave colors to wear in the summer is orange. It reminds me of sunshine, fun times, and happiness. I just wanted to come up with a everyday look to wear with my what’s in my closet.

Quick tip: Use 3 or 4 shades of the same color for more depth and brightness in your eyeshadow.

Going Goth

Why not!! Steal a look from the dark side. I got inspired from the youtube logo and tweaked it for us cougars. The main thing to remember is heavy eyes, light lips. The darker or heavier the makeup the older you appear, so keep something light.

Watch vid to the end for a cool and thrifty makeup tip!
